The National Research Council (CNR) of Italy is the most prestigious public research body in Italy. CNR focuses on conducting, promoting and transferring research in the industrial technologies and automation sector. Boasting expertise and knowledge in a wide-range of high-tech fields- such as microsystems, mechatronics and robotics, CNR is also engaged in partnerships with various European Projects and International Research Networks.
The prototype of LINarm, a low-cost upper-limb rehabilitation device will be presented at the 2014 World Maker Faire. The robotic department of CNR focuses on conception and development of innovative devices for industrial and medical applications, the latter assessed with clinical centers.
