      Smart-I is an innovative Start-Up based in Rome, producing SmartEye, the new intelligent system designed to reduce energy consumption for public lighting and provide interactive services for Smart City.

      During the 2014 World Maker Faire, SmartEye, which is an integrated and intelligent cognitive system equipped with optical sensors, carry out automatic analysis of urban landscapes to lower  power consumption and pollution reduction. Through road analysis, SmartEye is able to recognize and classify objects of interest (pedestrians, vehicles, etc.); identify the degree of brightness and detect weather conditions with the final goal of implementing adaptive and on-demand lighting techniques based on effective needs.
